So what exactly is this blog all about?

I’m often described by my family, friends and colleagues as being opinionated, an accusation that I don’t deny. I like to get my two cents in on anything I feel passionate about, and WordPress provided a way for me to do that at my leisure and at my own pace.

Granted, I’m not posting once a day every day, but 2 Cents a DayΒ is a much better name than 2 Cents Whenever I Feel Like It.

There’s no real focus or direction to this blog. Any given post could be about something I happened to think about on the train that morning, an article I read in a newspaper, a news byte I picked up off one of the many sites I follow, a review of a movie or television show I just watched, or a top ten list I just came up with. My opinions know no bounds!

Feel free to argue with my viewpoints, compliment me on my genius or just say nothing at all and move on. In the end, these are just my thoughts and mine alone.

Hey! You should update this “about” page πŸ˜›

Let us know a bit about what this blog is about πŸ˜›

      Hi Allen,

You’re right that I should. I’ve been lazy about it. I started this blog not too long ago with the intention of moving it over to my website once I finished it but that project slowed down as I shifted all of my resources to a client project.

      I’ll update it soon. I promise. πŸ˜‰

      Thanks for the interest!

        Hey Nathaniel,

Nice to see you updated so quickly!
        Website? show me? πŸ˜›

I really like this blog, it’s very well structured, good information, good opinions and clean, semi-formal/casual language.

It’s difficult to find blogs that are of such calibre with most being overloaded with traffic.

        It’s a pleasure.

        Regards,
        Allen

        Hi Allen,

You gave me a nice kick in the pants. I figured I might as well take a few moments to put something there so people don’t keep seeing the default text. Maybe that helped get my blog on the “Freshly Pressed” page! πŸ™‚

My website should be done soon. I’ll have a link to at least a couple of my most recent projects, one being a gallery site I put together for my older son Alexander. I’m all about simple and clean website design. I’m a website and application designer and developer by trade with a specialty in usability. I avoid overly complex sites when I can (basically, when the clients don’t demand such qualities). Deviant Art’s design certainly fits within the category of “clean and simple.”

I appreciate your kind words about my post. I try my best. I was very much into creative writing when I was in junior high and high school, and my father’s mastery of the English language (by necessity as he attended British schools in Hong Kong where some students would go as far as standing on a cafeteria table until they finished reciting dictionary entries) helped me a lot.

        Thanks again!

I love Deviant Art’s new website design. It’s been a long time since I last visited. The color palette is especially cool – you don’t often see websites that utilize the color green well.

Yeah! I think the Theme actually works EXTREMELY well with their theme of being “Deviant”.

They have made massive changes over the past few months… many users have been suggesting interface upgrades etc.

Yours is the first stranger’s blog I’ve read. Ever. I’ve greatly enjoyed it and am pleasantly surprised that blogging – yours, anyway – isn’t what I thought it would be – noisy words. You’ve got substance here.

A friend’s blog (the first blog a friend has done – double-firsts today) is done by WordPress and my curiosity led me to their homepage. Your blog is their starting square. So, I start.

If you don’t mind, I believe I’ll stick around a while and learn ’bout this stuff.

      Hi Ms. Campbell,

I’m honored to be the first stranger’s blog that you’ve read. Kind words and support like yours helps motivate me to post more often. Now, I just have to find a new topic on which to opine. πŸ™‚

      Cheers!

Ooh. Typed before I looked. I can subscribe to comments feed, but I cannot see where I can subscribe to your blog. I can bookmark you, though. Second best.

    I congratulate, the remarkable answer…
